" The annual Simsbury Fly-In and Car Show is the largest event of its kind in New England. 2011 was our 26th consecutive year. The show brings together hundreds of beautiful airplanes and cars for display to the public, along with great activities for the entire family. We're currently developing our 2012 event, so keep watching this space for details as they unfold.
In the past several years, the REMAX hot air balloon provided tethered rides, and spectators were treated to a rare display of the Terrafugia "car that converts to an airplane" in one of its only appearances nationally. We held a number of professional seminars, featured two skydiving exhibitions, and spectators were treated to a formation flying demonstration by the Yankee Clippers. The LifeStar medivac helicopter was here for display. Many aircraft dealers showed their new aircraft, including the new Light Sport category. As always, the aircraft displays featured homebuilts, antiques, classics, small warbirds, amphibians, helicopters, and many regular production models. We were treated to a spectacular C-5A flyby."
